During a trip to China, Dr. Holland presented on the lab's work during two invited seminars. Profs. Xi-Qiao Feng and Bo Li hosted her at Tsinghua University's Institute of Biomechanics and Medical Engineering, where she had previously spent two months through the National Science Foundation's East Asian and Pacific Summer Institute. Later, Prof. Dongdong Wang of the Department of Civil Engineering hosted her at Xiamen University, where she had previously spent a year studying Mandarin Chinese. Additionally, Dr. Holland presented recent work at both the US National Congress for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Chicago, IL, and the World Congress of Computational Mechanics in New York, NY.
